I’ve been silent for about a week - and there are two reasons for that:
1. I spent two days trying to get my Photos page to sync up with my Flickr account - neither Gord nor I could get the plugin to work. It made me so mad that I left my computer alone for 4 days. For now, my photos can be found at www.flickr.com/photos/fischerwolf.
2. I started knitting “Rogue” from www.girlfromauntie.com - a gorgeous cabled hoodie. I’ve pretty much just been knitting on this to the exclusion of everything else (except some cookie baking, yum). I’m using a tweed wool yarn - which is very good for the front and back of Rogue which is just plain stockinette stitch as it gives a lot of visual interest. The tiny little issue is that the tweed takes a bit away from the cable details on the side. The lesson learned here is that for future cabled sweaters I’ll use a solid or heathered wool to protect the cable details. But for now, I’m still very happy with how my Rogue is looking. I’m almost up to the armpit split. Then I’ll get into the neck and the slightly scary hood (so many cables going everywhich direction).
Here is a photo of my Rogue progress:

I’ll update my blog with progress pictures at interesting junctures. I’d like to get this done in the next week or so (which could be a tad aggressive as Gord and I are going to Austin for a week and I have a ton of work to do on my professional site - no its not up yet).
TTFN.
